Grin Tallulah. I think I shall have a 'no jeans on the sofa' rule!

Dotty, really?

I have a fabric terracotta one with removable covers and a brown leather chesterfield. Both are old. The leather one wins hands down in terms of keeping clean and having maintained it"s looks. However, the fabric one is SO comfy!

I have a big, dark brown, fabric sofa from Multiyork and I LOVE it.
it's very comfortable, I had firm cushions made for the bottom so that when you sit on it you don't get gaps down the sides where lots of toys (esp lego) can get trapped.
the back is all feather cushions.
the covers are all removeable and cleanable and they can make up more covers any time so if i decide I hate brown I can just get new covers!
also has a 15 year guarantee

L shaped cream fabric bought just before I unexpectedly found myself pg. Now very shabby and I'm desperate to burn replace it.

dottyhenson · 12/08/2011 19:24

Yes really!! 2 very camp friends were getting rid- so I adopted it Grin. I know it sounds to much- but actually works really well in our room ( White Walls, lots of books, plants, paintings & photos) and it always receive lots of compliments Smile.

Stone leather corner sofa from DFS. Have had it since March and love it, it's just so comfy! There's more than enough room for all 5 of us to stretch out and i can sleep really easily on it Blush :o

wonkylegs · 12/08/2011 19:42

Cream fabric 3 seated from multiyork
It's fab. Feather back cushions, firm foam seat cushions, brilliant guarantee and removable covers
Cream fabric sound mental with kids but it cleans really well (had a bleed in the middle of it when pregnant with DS Blush, no trace of it now)
Guarantee was important after buying a shite less than good one from fuckwit/furniture village on which the frame snapped. According to them I (all 4'11 size 8 of me) was too fat and must have broken it Angry!!
Multiyork were a dream after that

we have a red fabric two piece suite. One 3 seater and a single seater. Got to have a comfy sofa! Can't remember where we got it now. Was a couple of years ago now. I think it was dfs. I have a thing about cushions myself.

wotabouttheworkers · 12/08/2011 19:51

Large, terracotta, deep seats. The most comfortable sofa in the world. It's 15 years old and the cat has rather abused it. Couldn't bear to part with it, despite its tatty looks.

mrspnut · 12/08/2011 19:51

We have a fabric cream and wine coloured 4 seater sofa and a smaller loveseat.

It was the only one in about 5 stores that we both liked so we had to buy it.

My OH is a vegetarian so there was no way we were going to have a leather sofa and I like a squashy feel where as he likes a more structured approach. This was the best of both worlds.

BizzeeBee · 13/08/2011 20:52

What colour?
Brown

Fabric or leather?
Fabric

Where did you get it?
From the in-laws 10 years ago when they got a new one

DO you love it?
Yes - it is 30 years old, still looks good and is comfy. The arms are a bit loose from DH using them as a launch pad to play superman when he was small, but otherwise OK.

:)

Brown linen type fabric large corner unit. Incredibly comfortable and still looking good. Bought from Delcor whose customer service is absolutely second to none and they can make the sofa to fit your available space.

LordOfTheFlies · 13/08/2011 22:58

Ikea Erktop 3 seater + armchair.
Had 2 sets of covers- blue for summer; reddish terracota for winter.
(Had to throw out blue. Now looking for replacement that isn't dry clean/ floral/ corderoy.
On the the selling points was Ikea delivery.Bought on a Thurs evening. Delivered Sat morning.( They had a private delivery company, don't know if they still do.)
Had sofa about 6 years.Getting a bit scraggy but new covers would improve itGrin

kbaby · 13/08/2011 23:28

Ours is a cream leather corner suite, large enough for me and Dh to stretch out in each side.

We've had it 2 years now with no marks on it, although it does need cleaning with a wet wipe to get rid of the grubby kids hand prints
