How do I get rid of highly scented fabric conditioner

Just got some clothes I bought from ebay. They smell very strongly of fabric conditioner and I can't get rid of it. DS is very sensitive to smells and won't wear them.

Thanks

leave them on the washing line to get rained on, then a bit of sun?

Put a good slosh on white vinegar in the powder drawer and make sure you rinse the clotes well (extra rinse).

Thank you both, the clothes have been out on the line night and day and it's not doing any good. I will try the vinegar, I suppose the fabric conditioner is oily and the vinegar gets rid of it. Thanks for the tip. :)

Thanks

Washing then tumble drying rather than air drying stuff usually eradicates the smell. Thats if you have a dryer of course.
