Italian coffee made on stove

Does anybody know whether you can use an moka style coffee pot on a ceramic hob? We have been using one on holiday on a gas hob & the coffee is fantastic. I would love to be able to use one at home. TIA.

Yes, anything that actually heats it will do, as long as it's not an induction hob. I love those coffee makers - I was going to buy one on our last day in Italy, but it turned out to be a Bank Holiday and all the shops were closed (yes, I know you can buy them in the UK, but it's not the same).
