spiralo cutter - to make spaghetti vegetables

Is it useful or just another gagdet to gather dust? - my children have loved spaghetti noodles at a veggie restaraunt and they used an industrial version of this to make them look just like spaghetti. It seems quite expensive.

I heard about this - I think it was called a 'spiralizer' [from Gillian Mckeith, I think] and wondered where to get one and if it was as good as it sounded.
