Hoover + Long Haired Cats

Can anyone recommend a hoover that actually sucks up cat fur/hair please??????
My vax is struggling....seriously...

We have a Dyson, but the 'animal' version - our dogs shed hair everywhere and it's been really great - I'm very pleased with it. Pricey though but for us it was worth it.
