Stupidly I stored some coats in my cellar (which is mostly "done-out", tiles floors, etc) over winter and they were fine because of central heating, etc.

Just got one off the rail and it smalls slightly musty and "cellary".

What is the best thing to do to get rid of the smell please?
Can't machine wash, is getting them dry cleaned the way to go, or is there some miraculous way I can do it myself?

Tried a generous spray of febreeze, but the smell came back after a bit. Maybe and day hanging out on the washing line?

All suggestions greatfully received!! Thanks Smile

I think you're on the right track, I would hang them out on a good fine day, spray with fabreeze and maybe an airing in a cool tumble dryer with some tumble dryer sheets?

id go for febreeze and day or 2 in the sunshine on the washing line...
