While I'm on the cleaning rampage can anyone recommend a good one?

Bicarbonate of Soda.
Mix with water into paste and rub on with damp cloth. Wipe off with warm water and clean cloth.
Cheap, cheerful and it really works! Grin

Sugar soap also very good, the powder form, make up with water. Also agree with the bicarb suggestion. My local Chinese shop sells big boxes of bicarb very cheaply, and much cheaper than the tubs from supermarkets.

Fairy Power Spray is a scarily good degreaser. Much cheaper to use bicarb though.

I just use Fairy as it is a de greaser isn;t it?

Soda crystals and a drop of fairy in boiling hot water.
