Rotary washing lines

Apologies for the daft questions - mine is new.

Are the lines supposed to be taut? Mine seems fairly slack.

How/where do you hang clothes on hangers? I have little white hook things from Lakeland to put hangers on, but I'm not sure whether they'd stay on the line at the moment (probably because it seems quite slack).

prewumably it depends on temperature? so things will be slack cos it's hot but in winter it will be tighter as cold makes stuff contract

We bought a new rotary drier this year after the weight of the snow last xmas bent the old one out of shape! Anyway, I'm quite disappointed in it as the lines seem quite slack. In 2 minds about whether to take it back to Homebase or just bite the bullet and persevere (or buy a new one...?)

Re the Lakeland hanger things, they are great. Better on tauter lines right enough but they do still work and save shirts etc all bunching up together.

I think to get them taut you wrap one of the wires round the end of the arm, this then pulls all the others and tightens them too.

I think this is what you do anyway, worked for mine

Thanks. I think I need to re-tie mine if I can.

I agree, the Lakeland hanger things are brill.
