I've had enough of my spare room being just a junk room and after a few decluttering and organising session it is gradually improving. At the moment it has in my PC and printer, book cases and a small wardrobe which I use to store paperwork and various other things. These things will be staying in the room.
I now need to buy a bed for the room and I can't decide whether to get a single, a double or a day bed. It's not a very big room, though a double bed will fit in but there won't be much extra space. I wondered about the Hemnes day bed from Ikea www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50080315 as it's a sofa, single bed, can be converted to a double and I love the storage. However, as the mattress is only 80cm wide and 10cm deep I'm wondering if it will be big enough for an adult as it's narrower than a normal single bed, and also if a 10cm deep mattress will be comfortable.
I've invited my friend and her daughter to stay for a few days in the summer holiday so need to make a decision soon. Also, it will be lovely to have a proper spare bedroom instead of spare junk room!!!
So, any advice or opinions on which bed to go for?
