how to make squashy bench cushion

Hello
I have made bench cushions before out of fabric and foam, but they were a bit too firm and edges were very neat, I want a more loose, squashy effect, can anyone suggest a filling?
Thanks

Feathers are nice! Or Kapok...less squashy but also less allergy risky!

Feathers will flatten over time and require plumping. Maybe a hollow fibre filling will keep the loft better.

Buy a secondhand holofibre duvet from a charity shop, enough filling for several bench cushions in there!
