i want a nice dinnerware set. Where everything matches and is lovely. I currently have no more than three of anything the same, and rather a lot of odds and ends. So, inspire me with your sexy dinnerware

Do you like blue and white? I love Burleigh. You can mix the patterns so it's not too matchy but it still all works together. I've also got some Spode Blue Italian which is closer to being willow pattern but goes with the Burleigh nicely.

Oh, I am loving Burleigh. Could mix it up

they have a rather good sale at the moment too (I usually get seconds and you would have to be extremely finicky to notice any difference in quality). I have asiatic pheasants, blue calico and burleigh chintz, and they mix up beautifully.

For chunky everyday I think you could do worse than Denby Stonewear - this one is a 16 piece set and in budget, but not floral,

floral not too chunky

white and funny shapes!

Hmm, I used to work in the china department in John Lewis many moons ago, but am really out of touch these days.

You need to consider how long you want to have it for and if being able to get replacements longer term is important to you.

For example, nice as the denby that FloralGeek linked to is, I guarantee you it will be discontinued in the blink of an eye........

I have denby imperial blue which has been on the go forever, but they keep bringing out new pieces, changing the shape etc and although it's a bit boring, the table could be jazzed up with exciting placemats/glasses etc if you wanted.

Blue and white 'Blue Denmark' is vaguely floral.

Pink and blue]] mix and match here. There's a tan option too.
Maybe more fruity than floral.
Cherryblossom -- lovely imo, but fine bone china..

16 piece set 'Monsoon' set by Denby, £132.
'Cleo' pattern with lovely eau de nil plus floral motif.
Villeroy and Boch 'Alea Limone'.

Classic Blue Willow here -- £29.99 for a 16 piece setting and you'll always be able to replace broken pieces. I have this pattern, many different serving pieces, bits and bobs from different manufacturers.
