Whats the worse that could happen?

Just had new fridge freezer delivered (YIPEE after two week wait) Sad I ,know but im so excited to fill with goodies but peski delivery man said to not switch it on fir six hours. What the worse that can happen if I'm unable to control mu self and turn it on ?

The reason you have to wait is that oil from the compressor may have travelled up into the cooling lines in transit.
It can take up to 24 hours for this to drain back down.
The worst that could happen if you don't wait is that the freezer won't work.
If the man said you only need to wait 6 hours, he may know that it has been upright the whole time and doesn't need the full 24 hours.
