Have you tried cream cleaner? That seems to work when all else fails

shopalot · 07/07/2011 16:15

WD40 will work. Just a tiny bit on a bit of rag. Good Luck.

notapizzaeater · 07/07/2011 17:29

jenni75 · 07/07/2011 18:11

Would brilllo padding it work - it might fade it :)

LunaticIsOnTheGrass · 07/07/2011 18:12

I have had plastic bag print on my floor for 3 yrs now Sad

NOTHING I have tried has worked.

TheDetective · 07/07/2011 18:21

I will be watching this thread carefully! 2 days ago my DF noticed a red staining on my beech kitchen cabinet, its clearly off a plastic bag. I have no idea how it has stained it, it seems rather odd to me. Tried vinegar, and bicarb of soda, which didn't shift it. Might try hairspray, that got permanent marker off my walls and wardrobe when DS was little and made me a lovely drawing Grin

Mandy2003 · 07/07/2011 23:16

I'd second hairspray!

Piffpaffpoff · 07/07/2011 23:19

I'd try Cif, that got felt tip pen off my wooden table after all else failed.

itshappenedagain · 08/07/2011 12:26

bleach? worked on my oilskin tablecloth took the stain out and not the colour of cloth.

shopalot · 08/07/2011 16:03

Honestly try WD40...... (no one believes me..)

fuckmepinkandCALLmegoran · 08/07/2011 16:08

WD40 might work.

But also try one of those cleaning block things - magic eraser I think it's called? Mine is Doktor Power I got it in Asda

TooManyBlossoms · 08/07/2011 16:35

yy to the magic cleaning block things - mine were from Aldi. They removed the black scuff marks from my lino that had been there for years.

Mandy2003 · 08/07/2011 17:18

Never put soap or detergent on a magic eraser sort of thing - it will kill it in a very horrible way!

Sesquipedality · 08/07/2011 19:42

Fairy powerspray? Works on rust staines on my lino.

Nagini · 08/07/2011 19:47

baby oil. or WD40. or hairspray.

JsOtherHalf · 09/07/2011 14:27

Another recommendation for the magic blocks, they are fabuous for all sorts of things. (Especially good in the bathroom).
