Feng Shui -anyone follow it ,believe in it?

Am tempted to have massive declutter soon and look at the main recommendations behind it.
Don't even know what they are yet.

Decluttering is a great start. I sorted out my loft the other weekend, just put things neatly and in boxes where I could find them easily. It was odd, the whole house and I felt differently, even though I couldn't see it.

Don't believe in Feng Shui, but do believe in common sense as Vibrant appears to! Clutter drags you down - not in my mind by "emitting negative energy" or whatever the idea is - but by the simple fact that it takes up space in your mind, you see the pile of washing/toys/paper and it makes you feel fed up, so you don't clear it, then you feel bad that you haven't cleared it etc etc

Would love to think I could put a crystal in my "wealth corner" and win the lottery though

Actually I'm really woo! But I agree that I think it's having the space and feeling organised that makes you feel better - but also the energy in the house can flow much better .

I think attracting money is a lot more complicated than a crystal in the right corner of the house - but as I'm currently considered to have common sense I shall stop there .

Yes. But it is incredibly complicated and very precise. Takes years and years to be properly qualified, afaik. Its not really something I think you can do very effectively in a casual way.

HOWEVER: friend of mine was a freelance journo on a women's magazine and was commissioned to write a piece on feng shui. This was when it was really big, about 10 years ago. So she phones me up and says "Bibs, need a favour, can you have a feng shui bod come and do something on your house, need my copy in in a fortnight's time ". So, yes, had this lady round. We did house blessing, gathering flowers from the garden, ringing bells in corners, yada yada. She said to me "What do you really hope for in life?" I said "good health for me and dh" she said, "if you want children (I had said NOTHING about children) you'll need to look at your cupboard under the stairs". She didn't know dh and me had been ttc for 10 months and had been to gp for fertility advice and were awaiting our first appointment at King's. So, yes, I de-cluttered and cleaned out the cupboard under the stairs. Got bfp 2 weeks later. Never needed the appointment at King's.

Nah. Am way too naturally untidy.

If I really really really wanted to change my life, I would make an effort with it all. But mostly am content.

I don't have beds facing the door but that's about it.

Oh and my bathroom is green with two massive plants but I don't know if that's good or bad F/S

Its a posh word for "tidying up"

Its pretty tidyish , just want to pare down my stuff to make keeping it clean and tidy a lot easier.
But yy agree it's essentially about having a calm space isn't it. Not sure about the sharp angles bit though
