poo on carpet- how to get rid of stain?

My DS had a bit of a poo accident yesterday...how can i get the poo off the carpet. I have used a carpet shampoo but there is still a stain there. Help!

You could try giving it a scrub with a solution of biological clothes/laundry washing powder/liquid.

I used laundry liquid once when i couldnt get out to get carpet shampoo and it worked really well.

There is a carpet and upholstery spray "Vanish Oxy" in a pink (slightly violet) bottle, that actually works on these stains. Clean it up as best you can first, though.

Only slight downside is that it leaves a noticable clean patch on the carpet, but it will soon get dirty again.

It does not seem to bleach out the carpet colour itself.
