Curtains widths

If a window is 76" wide (190cm) how wide does each individual curtain need to be?

Would 58" be wide enough?

It's for a child's bedroom.

Should be fine for a bedroom. works out around 1.5x the window width.
Might b a bit flat i.e not many pleats
Full width would normally be 2x.

not sure ds will care about many pleats, more the digger print!

I have made lots of curtains and I would think this would be fine with a gathered pleat, as rimmerfleadick said just not very gathered.

They are on curtain tape rather than tab top, so I guess I would just "pull to fit".
