Little Creases on shirt collars.

my DH's new Thomas pink shirts all have developed tiny almost unbuilt creases on the collars. None of his other shirts have this.

Does anyone know if it can be fixed and what the cause was - ironing too hot?

Our Ayi does the ironing so no idea if she did something Different to cause it.

yup, the iron's too hot.

Ironing them on the wrong side helps too.

I iron the reverse of the collar and from tips to centre. That is my tip.

Cutiecat has it right! I once saw a shirt being ironed this way by a shirt maker and sewing instructions used to suggest that this was the correct way to press a shirt collar. To get rid of creases allready ironed in, use a wet pressing cloth and a hot iron and press over the area making sure the creases are teased out first.

Wow sunshinenanny where did you meet a shirtmaker? Never came across one of those.
