Whiffy trainers

I have a much-loved pair of mbt trainers, which, unfortunately, reek to high heaven. I've tried washing them in the machine, "airing" them outside ,to no avail. Anyone got any tips to get rid of the pong?

Fill them with cat litter and leave them overnight - it will absorb all the sweat and smells!

Not so good if you have a cat though - a lovely portaloo

Put them in the freezer if you have the space.

oooh, thank you. No cat here. Will try the freezer option first, then cat litter.
