How to store clothes to stop yellowing/general yuckness?

What can I do with about 5 large bags of childrens good quality clothes I'm keeping (just in case?!) - Ive found some in the loft have yellowed or smell a bit odd....any tip please?

I would put them in vacuum bags and label outside of bag, I have used these for years without an issue, but buy good ones as they will last.
The other plus point is that they store at fraction of the space.
