Getting blood out of a mattress?

TOM caught me out early unfortunately. How can I get blood out of a mattress? I've tried 1001 troubleshooter (the yellow and blue spray) but it hasn't got rid of it all. Any ideas what I can use?
TIA

salt is supposed to help but only with fresh blood I think, so not sure whether it would do anythign once you've already given it a clean. Am not sure what else would work, sorry not much help from me I fear.

yes - salt worked into it but now you've tried 1001, don't think it'll work.

Try a sofa fabric cleaner for biological stains.

bio washing powder and hot water and scrub with nail brush

Salt and cold water helps if you have fresh blood stains (my mother taught me to soak knicks in cold water and salt if caught out)

Thanks all, I'll remember the salt and cold water tip for future. Since i've already tried to clean it I'll try bio washing powder, thanks

I did the same with our brand new 2 day old memory foam matress. DP went mad lol. I used salt and water with some bicarb mixed it and it got it out no probs, trick is to blot not rub i think :)
