Getting a stain out of a white t-shirt

My son wore a brand new white airtex school t-shirt on Thursday and my MIL took him to play in a park which had some sort of sand that has stained the whole back/bottom of the t-shirt. I have tried soaking in Vanish but it is still an orange/brown stained colour and will make him look like he has had a 'toilet' accident if he wears it. Any tips?

I soaked a white t-shirt in Biotex for a couple of days. The stain was pasta sauce which the Vanish spray hadn't shifted. It came right out.
Don't know what yours stain is, but might be worth a try. I also have found the Dylon ones specific to mud very effective.

Try putting it in the sun to dry as well, that sometimes helps.

Wash it in biological powder (decent brand like Ariel) then hang in the sun.

Do not tumble dry or iron over the stain.

If all else fails. try a weak solution of bleach, then let it dry in the sun. Try again if necessary.

I too add a dab of bleach to marks left on whites just as I am putting it back in washing machine to remove stain. Works a treat!
