memory foam?

Has anyone used one of those 'memory foam' mattress toppers? How good are they?

They seem to have rave reviews on Debenhams and Argos websites, saying how amazingly comfortable they are. But I don't really understand how it is a plus for the thing to be molded to the shape of your body in bed, and don't people usually turn over a lot whilst sleeping?

Also, do they get too hot?

Yes they do keep you cosy warm!
They don't STAy the shape of your body, they just sort of support it.
I used to have a bad back and dodgy knees and a memory foam topper from ebay solved both problems IMMEDIATELY. It is a proper miracle.
Very comfy and supportive.
But a as menopausal momma...i do have to sleep naked and fling the covers off in the middle of the night

Thanks! Thinking of getting one for teenage DD as she has a cheapo mattress where you can feel the springs!

The memory foam is a bit pricey, but cheaper than a new bed, so maybe we'll go for it.

My folks bought bunk beds for grandchildren, for when we (or any of my sisters families) stay with them. Anyway, the mattresses were really solid and uncomfortable so they bought these memory foam mattress enhancers to go on top of them. They've definitely been a success as our boys find the beds far more comfy to sleep on now.
