Remove smell from shower room

Hi,

We have a shower room downstairs. The extraction fan doesn't work fantastically well, but we always make sure to wipe down the shower door, leave it open and leave the shower room door open. We try to dry the towels we use somewhere else to prevent the damp. I always clean the shower room (weekly) and demould it with Dettol spray, but it always smells of cheesy feet!!!!

Does anyone know how I can resolve this? Maybe I need a dehumidifier as it's is often still damp.

thanks,

Jas

Is it coming from the drain?

wonder why you are getting mould growing if you clean each week? Try a different cleaning product? Use a drain deblocker every 4-6 months.

after a smell for months getting worse, used soda crystals followed by white vinegar 2 cups, left 1 hour, then poured hot water down, smell gone, put some zoflora lemon down, lovely smell, and now has a drain stick in, which decompose after a few weeks, 2 days later still smells of lemons.
