Does anybody know how to do this? I applied vanish soap to the area and then put it through machine wash. The stain is still there. What else can I try?

Give them a soak in Napisan

JohnStuartMills · 11/05/2011 17:49

Thanks CMOTd. I live out the country at the mo but will get Napisan in town tomorrow and try that. Should I just soak the affected area?

You can soak the whole garment. If necessary, make a paste and rub that into the stain too

Thanks again.

Use washing up liquid and cold water BEFORE you wash it (the w up liq breaks down the chlorophyll in the grass)

Only way I've found to get grass stains out of cricket whites!

You can soak in hot water and soda crystals before washing. I have also found the aeril liquid stain remover for whites which you pour into the drum and the aeril gel also in the drum has got the grass stains out of dh and ds cricket whites recently.

Ecover stain remover very good on grass stains. Just rub it before washing.

Line drying - the sunlight fades grass stains significantly too.
