getting sweat stains out of clothes

Is there a way of removing sweaty stains from the armpits of clothes or should they just be binned? Is there a way to avoid getting them in the first place? (am looking for a better deodorant - I have a thread on that too)

Try rubbing a bio gel detergent onto the stains before you put them in the wash.
