moving experts: advice please

We will be moving in August. Everyone keeps assuming I am busy packing in my free time.

This is freaking me out. We have been having a clear out so we don't move unnecessary stuff. But that's it so far. Do I really need to start packing now? We are two adults, two children who aren't old enough to pack their own stuff.

never started packing till the week before we moved.
Started having clear outs of stuff and tip runs about a month before but that's it.

Well that's reassuring. I don't know what I could pack now anyway. We use everything we own every couple of weeks apart from books and they are easy to pack.
