Bloody playdoh has stained dining table!!!

Dh and ds were playing with some blue elc playdoh this afternoon on the dining table.
I noticed after that the table has splurges of blue stains all over it!!!
I've tried babywipes, dettol, polish, elbow grease.

What can I use to shift it?
Grrrr!

Have you tried hot soapy water yet? Specifically washing up liquid soapy water?

If that doesn't work I'd suggest bio washing powder in hot water as this will lift it.

What finish do you have on the table? My kids did the same on my kitchen work tops, tried everything and it didnt budge. A while later they were playing with some left over pastry i had in the same spot, took the blue of the worktops!! DP wont eat one of my pies again as he says if it does that to worktop what will it do to him! Haha

Table is varnished pone from ikea so hardly a priceless antique but it's pissed me off no end.
Too tired to clean today so will try suggestions tomorrow
