Cooking and Freezing bacon

Can anyone please tell me, if I fry bacon, can I then freeze it and microwave it, when I want it for my breakfast? I don't always have time to cook it in the morning. Thanks

Yes, you can. It won't be crispy if you microwave it, but health-wise it's fine.

Just make sure not to freeze it for more than a couple of months, as fat (any fat) never really freezes entirely* and so it goes off even in the freezer.

And be careful microwaving it as the fatty bits can splutter and burn in the microwave before the meaty bits are even hot.

*interesting factoid: that's how seals and polar bears stay alive.

Asda and tesco sell a micro bacon plate. It's a white plastic griddle. Pop bacon on, in the magic box for three to four minutes for perfect sandwich filling. They cost about £1.50 :)
