Help me choose wallpaper

I want to repaper my living room but the trouble is finding something that will go with the carpet (i dont think its possible but thought would ask you all here)

Replacing carpet it out of question as it was actually made for the house in 1969 (i kid you not) and DP LOVES IT. We have this but in green in our bedroom. It's quite beautiful and would clash wonderfully with your carpet.

Haha it would look very original, maybe suited to a plain one i think. Think it might look a little too much with my crappy lovely carpet
