Dyson - cleaning filter

Can anyone explain to me how to wash the Dyson filter as recommended? Thanks

Is it a spongy one or one in a plastic wheel thing? I'm sure ther's instructions on the machine / go to the website.

Either way, I put under the tap till soaked, then rub fairy liquid in well then wash under the tap till all gone then hang on line to dry.

YOu're more thorough than me

I run mine under the tap and squidge it until the water is running pretty clear, then ring it out and dry thoroughly before putting it back.
