I like it.
I used to have a glass topped kitchen table and it survived far more than the wooden one we have now.
Wood shows every scratch and pen mark and is harder to keep clean.
I got rid of my glass one as it was set in wood and lots of crumbs etc gathered in the groove where the wood and the glass met.
The downside of a clear glass table is that you can see through it - so when you are sitting at it everyone can see your legs, feet, game of footsie with your dh, that you haven't swept under the table that well etc.
The advantage is that paint, glue, dried on pasta sauce etc wipes off really easily and it should be toughened so it won't scratch or break.
Round also means no corners for nasty head bangs.
