Hello,
Does any one how to remove the hood off a maclaren quest stroller. Bought mine second hand so needs bit of a clean. Have tried cleaning wilst attached but some stubborn stains that won't go so think I'll need to soak it. Thank you!

I'm not sure it can come off. I've washed my pushchairs in the shower before, wet, squirt with washing up liquid, scrub with brush & then rinse off & leave to drip in the shower !

Ours got mouldy in the garage between ds and dd. I tried cleaning it but would not shift. As a last ditch attempt i took the whole thing off and put it in the washing machine with some bio powder. Came out as new. Still looks great for number 3.

I have just decided to sell my double buggy that was sitting getting a bit dusty in our garage. Yesterday I got the dettol out and a sponge with the rough bit on (have lost my brain today!) and scrubbed my little heart out, then left it to dry in the sun. I am so impressed I almost kept it even though I don't need it anymore!!! The only thing that didn't come up spangly were the tyres which probably need power washing but will get dh to do that before it sells!

I've given it a good scrub, with a brush so heres hoping all the stains have come out. thanks for the advice. May just have to replace the hood.

Hi, I was stumped too but I found later on (way later) that you can unlock the hood off the stroller. For the quest, it looks like a lock and you push the protruding button in and it should unlock the latch. Just remember how it goes on, or better yet, take a pic so you won't forget after cleaning. You can look at my blog, I did a post on this with pics for both quest and triumph.

Hope this helps!

i know this is an old thread, but i was looking for this yesterday, and took a chance on my quest. I have a denim one, and took the hood off and found you can't remove the plastic bits inside, so chucked the whole thing in the machine, and it was fine! So nice and clean now.

I have just put my Quest hood in the washing machine on a 30 minute quick wash but reduced the spin speed to 600, it's perfect! I also did the seat unit, as I can't believe that it ha mould on it after a week in the garage, it has all gone now though.
