I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend anywhere good to buy nice canisters for storing nuts/seeds/pasta/cereal etc as well as bread bins and spice racks? Many thanks

Depends if they will be on view or tucked away.

I go for airtight and utilitarian. Inside the cupboards it's square-shaped and oblong-shaped to make best use of the space. Lock & Lock do quite a big range. I don't like them for counter-top use though - too plasticky.

My breadbin is round stainless steel with an airtight top. I used to have a wooden breadbin but it was impossible to clean thoroughly.

I looked at loads of spiceracks but ended up devoting one (shallow) kitchen drawer to them and lay them all out alphabetically. Mind you I still lust after this , this and this.

Thanks cruelladepoppins. I have zero cupboard space so I'm looking for on view items. I might adopt your oblong idea to maximise the space I do have though (3 cupboards!!!)

Those spice racks are lovely
