Argh. Smell of poo and vomit on DD's matress. HELP!

She was sick few days ago in her cot, it went through the protection sheet thingy, I tried sponging it off but still smelled. Turned the matress over and she had diarrhoea all over it last night (she has a some sort of stomach bug at the mo).

Short of buying a new matress, is there anything I can do to get rid of the smell?

I think it went into the sponge bit iyswim Sad

Damp it slightly again, and then scatter Bicarbonate of Soda liberally all over the smelly patches. Once it's all dried off, hoover up the Bicarb.
It helps when DD wees on her mattress.

Oh, and if you do end up getting a new mattress - I'd recommend you get a protector like this to save on future problems.

Thanks, will try that tomorrow. Still, if it really went into the inside sponge bit, I'll have to buy a new one Sad

Yes, will definitely buy a proper protector.
