Parcel Tape residue removal (from High gloss white table)

I need to remove some parcel tape 'leftovers' from my dining table. Most came off but there are two stripes down the middle which are mostly just smeary tacky streaks of brown tape and bits of glueyness. Water and stuff hasn't worked

I don't have any HG or WD anything in the house btw. I overdosed my WD40 addiction, not that that would have worked anyhow, it'd have been nice to try for the sheer thrill of it

Lakeland do a Sticky Stuff Remover which is a miracle worker - I'm sure it would do the job.

Cover the sticky residue in vegetable oil (or any cooking oil) and leave overnight. You should be able to wipe it clean in the morning. It works to get labels off jars anyway...

how did you overdose on wd40? Grin a girl can't be without it imo

and it works!

yy I want to know how you overdosed on WD40

Sticky Stuff Remover definitely removes that brown parcel tape glue. It just wipes off.

Just got some sticky stuff remover off ebay - DH swears by it ...

nail polish remover or white spirit and something to gently rub away the stickyness.

Kim and Aggie recommend spreading mayonnaise on it. Leave for half an hour, then scrape off with a plastic knife.

Furniture polish removes sellotape glue and sticker residue, so that may work

Sticky stuff remover works brilliantly.
