Pan lid storage

My lack of storage for my pan lids is driving me mad, so I'm looking for a neat solution. I had seen a pan lid wall rack at Ikea which looked like it could work well, but it looks like they've stopped making them now and replaced it with something that you keep inside a cupboard.

Something wall mounted would be ideal, as we have no spare cupboard or work surface capacity.

So, what do you do with your pan lids?!

I put mine on the pans, upside down, and stack the pans on top of each other.

Now in theory that's what I do too - but I use the pans a lot without the lids on, so the lid gets strewn somewhere while the pan is used and washed, then they don't seem to find their way back together again.

The steamer insert is the only thing that manages to stay with its lid because I never use it separately.

How good are you at DIY? I'm sure something could be fashioned out of wood and dowels, some sort of rack that you can mount on the wall that they can slot into?
