Vanish carpet foam

Anyone tried this? Bought a can today then saw you need to work it in with a sponge mop or suchlike then leave for about 2 hours till dry before hoovering. Grrr, thought I could just spray and hoover right away. Is it any good - my carpets are pretty manky and could do with something more than just a hoovering.

hi, tried it and was also dissapointed, was also looking for a wonder cleaner that I could just spray on and leave etc etc with no elbow grease - it;s ok for smallish stains etc, but rubbish for bigger areas, bought it for my stairs did all the rubbing and did not look that much different.

Heard that the Rug Doctor is pretty good so might have a go with that.

Just be very careful to do a patch test in an area you can't see....I learned the hard way that it can take the colour out of the carpet

I agree - it is fine for spots on the carpet but I would be exhausted trying to do a whole carpet with it. I imagine a Vax or a Rug Doctor or hiring a carpet cleaner to come and do it is the way forward OP.
