Someone I put a carrier bag on my glass top hob whilst it was still hot and it melted.

Any ideas as to how I get it off...now its cooled its stuck fast and i can't use that front hob because it keeps burning the plastic and stinks!

Tips please!!!!

I did the same thing with a tupperware tub. I found that if I switched the ring on at the lowest setting it would melt the plastic and I could then scrape it off with an old fish slice before it started to burn. This didn't get rid of everything and I did end up having to scrub the last few bits off with a green scourer. That may scratch your hob though.

Thank you I will try that.

I left a plastic pot on my electric hob and did what jaffa said.

Only I wiped it of (quickly!) with dry kitchen roll.
