Why does my iron DRIP everywhere??

It even says on the side, in shiny purple letters "Anti-drip" - no it's not! I picked it up just now and water poured out of one of the holes. It drives me mad. If I don't fill it up with water I don't get the steam features and it's harder to iron stuff, but if I do fill it up I get drips at unexpected moments and it goes rusty and makes brown marks on things if I don't empty it out between ironing bouts. (Which I can understand as I don't use it that often, but I always forget to empty it)

Using the spare one now anyway

Oh FFS, now the spare one is making everything shiny! Bah!

If it's not turned up to steam temp then the water will dribble. Mine does, anyway.

Are you ironing on a low temp but with water in it?

Oh. Possibly. When it poured out, that was when it was completely cold.

But sometimes it drips on 2 or 3 as well which 2 is the lowest steam temp I seem to remember.

Our iron has an "off" setting for the steamer bit. If you don't put it on that then it drips everywhere unless you have it on the max heat setting Angry
