Fixed head shower head bunged up with limescale

I went for style over function and installed a fixed head shower. As I live in London, the water spray holes are now completely furred up but I can't see any way of detaching it - is there some way of pulling the hole-y bit out so I can rinse away all the limescale or is there some sort of limescale-dissolving paste I can smear over the outside that might help?

Stick kitchen roll into a plastic bag, soak it with white vinegar and then attach it to the shower head with an elastic band, leaving it overnight.

No, it comes straight out of the wall - I would need a plumber to remove it :(

Thanks for the tip about the white vinegar. I'll give it a try.

Try using Dettol mold & mildew Remover, (Bright green spray bottle) worked great on ours.

Warning do have windows open as it does have a very strong bleach smell.

Can you put a pin in the holes ? I do this to clean them. Takes a while then scrub over with a toothbrush and some viakal....
