Room diffusers - is it possible to make your own?

You know the ones with the oily liquid and the wooden sticks? I have a couple of empty bottles; is it possible to make it with carrier oil, essential oils?

must be. good idea - I've got empty bottles with sticks in all over the place. might get busy with some almond oil and lavender to combat the pong from the nappy bin
