OKay this is really starting to annoy me now. My house smells of cress

And I cannot find the source. It smells most strongly in the hallway. I have bleached everything I can possibly think of inc. the dogs bedding and the radiator.

We have not been eating or growing cress, but there is a very strong smell of cress seeds. Everytime I think it has gone it comes back.

WFT is it and how do I make it go away? What do fresh cannabis plants smell like? Our neighbours are slightly dodgy. Is it posible they are growing cannabis and I can smell this? It does not smell like dried cannabis.

Could it be damp? or, forgive the suggestion, stale dog wee? Shoes? Have you sniffed the carpets ? How annoying.

We have no carpets it's all laminate which has been bleached several times. I had thought of stale dog wee, which is why I washed all the dog bedding. Whippy dog does, erm, dribble when she gets excited, but surely the bleach would get rid of this smell? Her bed doesn't smell.

I have also tried that Pets at Home accident cleaner on the floor.

It could be damp I suppose, but the walls don't feel damp and there is no mould anywhere.

Burnt out resistors & capacitors smell like cress [geek] have you got any old electrical equipment?

Our neighbours grow weed at the bottom of their garden & it doesn't smell like cress!

I have no idea what those are Bessie, but our house was only rewired two years ago and we bought pretty much everything brand new when we moved in just after that, so I doubt it's that.

If you have washed the area recently, let it all dry out before attempting anything else. Do you have any concrete floors?

I can smell the same especially in my living room. Have you found a reason yet for the smell of cress?

Did anyone get to the bottom of this? Our house has started smelling of cress for the last 3 days.
