Smelly wet room

We live in a rented house with a wet room downstairs, which everyone uses - family of 7, only the baby uses the bath. It is really good but it is in a windowless room (but has an extractor) the problem is it seems to smell of damp permanently - have left room scent diffusers in etc but nothing seems to mask it - any ideas?
Btw there is a fancy chrome radiator/towel rail in there too which is covered in rust as it gets so humid in there, don't know if that is contributing to the whiff.
Its a shame as it doubles up as a downstairs loo so its where any guests wd go, and i feel embarrassed that it smells so, well, unclean.

Sounds like it might be leaking...get your landlord to sort it out.

good wash down.scrub with neat bleach should help - also make sure your extractor is working properly.
