Another damp dusting q

sorry! But can you damp dust fine wood furniture every week? Won't it damage it?

I noticed that if I move and replace lamps etc to dust, there's a chance they will keep the damp underneath them and not air dry. Or should I be drying the surface once damp dusted too???

Bump.... Thus is kind of a non issue for me as for most of you I guess, as we can use common sense. But am making out a cleaning schedule for new cleaner and I don't want to put something on it she could follow to the letter and damage nice furniture. Should I put dd as monthly only? Thanks, gh girlies.
