I have a neff double oven. It seems to always need cleanng and its quite fiddley. Do i clean the 'roof' of it? Do i use wire wool on the shelves. Whats the best product? Thx

I also have a Neff double oven and so does mine!!!!

I use Ovenbright (big orange box) because you just shove the racks in the back and splat the rest of it inside and then just wipe it off.

I do mine once a month btw. You can get silicone shelf liners though for the bottom of the oven to cut it down a lot.

quick wipe around after every time I use it, with soapy water.

Doesn't take 2 minutes and i find it oddly satisfying.

I am very dirty, so don't ask me.

it's nice currently, as it's been ovenpride-ed. 1st time since 2004 and it took 2 boxes Blush

but I have a teflon sheet in the bottom and clean that about once a month.

my neff is the same. use ovenpride every couple of months. Better/easier than anything else I've ever used. Cleaning ovens is such a pain - my Dp is the only meat eater and likes weekly roasts - I dread hearing all the spitting, thinking of the cleaning.I find it impossible to properly clean the "roof". I have tried maintaining the oven after cleaning by a quick wipe after but it doesn't seem to work.

Lots of people swear by paying professional oven cleaners once or twice a year (I think they blast it with steam and scrape gunge off the glass with metal scrapers).

Haggis, you could try using a roasting bag when you roast a joint - it contains all the spitting, no mess to clear up! Wilko has them for about £1 for 10.

i swept out all the burnt bits that gathered onthebase of mine once, about a yr ago i slid out the glass door and wizzed it through the dishwasher. I think its self cleaning if i wack it to 230 for 20 mins but that might just be wishful thinking.

I use roasting bags and without fail they burst in my Neff. Hmm

I bought something that left white crusty debris even though I had done exactly what was said - my oven still looks shocking so if its fiddly I don't recommend the Lakeland stuff!

Tempted by steam cleaners coming in tbh, as whenever I want to clean the bugger its usually too hot!
