I opened the cupboard that I fling it all in, and while attempting to chuck one more tub in, the whole lot came tumbling out. And I haven't seen some of it before.

So I think the bought stuff has been quietly having it off with the takeaway containers (each takeaway a different size of course so they don't stack) and has produced baby clip-it containers that I certainly haven't bought.

That's got to be the explanation, right?

Ah the perils of the plastic box cupboard. Mine explodes in all directions if you so much as glance at it. I only open it in trepidation these days.

I also have an abundance of takeaway containers Blush.

My problem is I can't won't throw any away. I am a sucker for a useful looking plastic box esp a free one. I need someone to come and be strong for me and chuck em out. I don't use most of them.

BellaBearisWideAwake · 04/03/2011 10:05

Yes, I need someone stronger than me to do it

Dh would LOVE to cull my plastic box collection. He hates it with a passion. But having argued a case to keep them all theses years I can't back down now - although I'd secretly like to.

But there's that nagging worry...you'd definately need that box the minute you've binned it wouldn't you? Then where'd we be..??

one of my fav moments in Desperate Housewives was when Bree opened a cupboard, and all the tupperwares were neatly arranged in order, all lids on, everything aligned etc. I long for that sort of order in my cupboard!

Hassled · 04/03/2011 10:24

To look in my "boxes drawer" you would think I have never eaten anything but a Chinese takeaway. It's quite scary. But how can you bin them? I just can't bring myself to.

I justify them by freezing tiny portions of leftovers - usually enough for one portion for a pixie. Really useful in this house Hmm.

BendyBob · 04/03/2011 10:26

Yes I do that! Then forget to label it and bin it months later because I have no idea what it was or when I made it.

And I moan because there's no space in the kitchen Confused

BellaBearisWideAwake · 04/03/2011 11:10

Haha I do that. If I organise it it lasts about two minutes
