john lewis?

whomovedmychocolate · 03/03/2011 20:21

You can get it sometimes in Debenhams in the online sale.

Or John Lewis yes.

Or the White Company (they have sales all the time).

I find this place quite reasonable www.french-brand.com I found an out of stock Designers Guild cover on there, and with shipping (to canada), wasn't very expensive.

Mytholmroyd · 03/03/2011 21:22

I get a lot of my bedlinen from Dawsons here:

www.justlinen.co.uk/justlinen/hiccups-childrens-bedlinen.asp?s=07

The have top quality Egyptian cotton bedding at very low prices in their clearance lines.

oiwhatsoccuring · 03/03/2011 21:35

tk maxx too but its a bit pot luck.

Ponders · 03/03/2011 21:46

oh yes TKMaxx! forgot about them but you have to go very regularly, & getting matching stuff is even more pot luck - could go for all white I suppose (so practical with kids Wink)

HarriedWithChildren · 04/03/2011 13:08

Thanks All,

There is some lovely stuff in the places you recommend but I've stupidly gone for a green and yellow colour scheme, sounds awful but is in fact cheery in these Northern climes, which rules out blue bedding. Then if you're a boring mum like me and rule out characters, excessive print, babyish stuff they will grow out of, etc... you are left with not much.
Why didn't I go for a sailing type decor?
I will look on Ebay now.

have you considered looking at the adult bedding?

i mean, if you want cute bunnies and stuff then maybe not, but for plain colours or patterns you might find something>

BellaBearisWideAwake · 04/03/2011 13:39

GLTC bedding is all 100% cotton

Vertbaudet

\link{http://www.laredoute.co.uk/homeware-bedroom.htm\La Redoute} are particularly good if you want a huge choice of colours & they don't need to be children's designs

HarriedWithChildren · 09/03/2011 16:08

Inevitably drifted onto adult bedding, ooouh the Orla Kiely at JLP, and kids clothing at Vertbaudet...

You're right TIY, I'll look in non-kids and stop grumbling about things being cutesy. Couldn't help but notice that yet again there is far more for girls.

how crafty are you harried?

cos i was thinking if you could get plain bedding, in fact even just plain white, then you could use fabric paints to do patterns? stencil or draw them.
or do some cool tie dye stuff with fabric dye?

SparkyToo · 11/03/2011 23:29

Affordable children's bedding here. All 100% cotton. I love the gingham bed sets, can't go wrong really. A bit of colour is nice for little ones don't you think?
