steam mop query

Evening Ladies, I've just bought (and am delighted with) the much lauded Lakeland steam mop. My question is regarding the water used. Do you think it's possible to use the filtered water from fridge freezers in it? I suspect we live in a hard water area... Any advice gratefully received!

You mean your fridge has a drinks dispenser with a filter?

I dont know tbh, I dont think it's quite the same thing as softened/distilled water.

But were using boiled cooled water in ours now and as yet we have not had any issues but the mop is new. DH reckons if we get limescale we can always use calgon on it.

Thanks for reply. DH says it has a filter but he prob doesn't know tbh Hmm Cooled boiled water sounds good- can do it when making up bottles! How often have you used it?

Use distilled water only, and not the scented ones for irons, the one for car radiators. There was a leaflet in mine about scented distilled water making them malfunction.

Mine does hall, kitch and living room on one tank.

A- ha, car radiators you say? Must investigate that. Thank you for all help Smile
