best way to clean my floors?

I have a small house, the kitchen has laminate, the living room wood and the bathroom tiles. All small rooms. At the moment we have a crappy mop thing that we got at the supermarket and I would like something a bit better. Any suggestions?

I have no idea but will be interested in any replies. At the moment I have to do hands and knees scrubbing on similar floors (one tiled one wood one lino) to get anywhere, mopping just isn't doing a good enough job.

That is what I should be doing but I am too lazy!
