Ghengis Khan costume

DS is adamant he wants to do World Book Day as Ghengis Khan.
Please help me!!!!
ANY ideas gratefully received.

Dark coloured tracksuit with fur/rope/string/ribbon tied around the knees and elbows.

Dark pillowcase or cut down t-shirt as a tunic tied with a wide leather belt. Possibly more layers. I think they went in for layers in those days.

Cardboard breastplate and shoulder and forearm armour tied on with string. Or regular knight or roman fancy dress armour if you can lay your hands on them.

Beanie hat trimed with fur with some fabric hanging down around the back and sides for the bit that stops the enemy cutting your head off.

Ugg boots.

A too small pony to ride if you have one.
